Canadian Observatory on Homelessness (COH)
The COH is a well-established research consortium focusing on community engaged scholarship and its mobilization designed to have an impact on policy and practice.
Located at York University, the COH was established in 2013 through a SSHRC Partnership Grant (formerly Canadian Homelessness Research Network, founded in 2008).
COH’s Research Agenda
With its research agenda prioritizing eight themes, including youth, the COH has made significant contributions to the evidence base on homelessness and has a demonstrated track record in creating impact, evident most recently in the Scientific Director’s participation on the federal government’s external Advisory Committee to inform a renewed federal Homelessness Partnering Strategy.
